Pritchard Technologies, Inc.

Ever since the year 2000, Pritchard Technologies, Inc. has been an abrasive waterjet machining shop providing customers with high-precision parts at up-to-date prices. Our facility is based in Clover, South Carolina, and we offer cutting services to customers of all types.

Commonly cut materials include Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Carbon Steel at a wide range of thicknesses. The waterjet uses a high-pressure jet of water mixed with a garnet abrasive to efficiently cut through virtually any material effortlessly.

What truly sets Pritchard Technologies apart: there is no minimum order. Most other waterjet machining shops require a minimum number of parts — we don't. One part or one thousand, we're here to help.

What We Do

Services & Advantages

Our OMAX abrasive waterjet equipment cuts through virtually any material — with precision, speed, and clean edges every time. Working 8–5, five days a week.

🎯
±0.005" Precision
Tight tolerances with a variety of speed controls to improve edge quality — customers get exactly what they need.
💰
Up-To-Date Pricing
By comparing material prices from multiple suppliers, we consistently find the best prices for every job.
Rapid Turnaround
Once parts are finished cutting, we dry them and either box or palletize them for shipment straight to you.
🌡️
No Heat-Affected Zone
Water jetting does not cause heat-affected zones, generate slag, or cause any stress on the material.
Superior Edge Quality
OMAX software lets us choose between a range of edge qualities to deliver high-quality parts every time.
🌿
Environmentally Friendly
No gases, no fumes, no pollution. Just water and garnet — clean and sustainable.
🚫
No Minimum Order
Unlike most waterjet shops, we have zero minimum order requirements. One part is perfectly fine.

Virtually Any Material
Mild Steel, Aluminum, Stainless, Titanium, Copper, Brass, Foam, ABS Plastic, Polycarbonate — the list goes on.

Waterjet vs. Other Cutting Methods

vs. Laser Cutting

  • No heat-affected zone (lasers create HAZ)
  • Wider range of cuttable materials
  • Lower operating cost → better pricing
  • Cuts thicker material with better tolerance

vs. EDM

  • No HAZ created during cutting
  • Cuts non-conductive materials (EDM can't)
  • Pierces material in seconds — no pre-drilled hole needed
  • No size limit beyond the material itself

vs. Plasma

  • No heat-affected zone
  • Far more precise tolerances
  • Better edge quality overall

vs. Punch Press

  • Cheaper per piece for lower quantities
  • Cuts anywhere — not limited near edges
  • No tooling cost for new geometries

vs. Milling

  • Cuts harder materials mills struggle with (Titanium, 304 SS)
  • Great complement to milling depending on application
  • No tooling setup required
Material Capability

What We Cut

Waterjet cuts virtually any material without heat distortion. To list a few — but the list really does go on.

⚙️
Stainless Steel
No heat distortion; excellent edge quality on thin to thick sections.
✈️
Aluminum
Prevents melting and warping; great for aerospace and automotive.
🔩
Mild / Carbon Steel
Most common industrial metal; superior over plasma for thick stock.
🚀
Titanium
Essential for exotic alloy and aerospace applications.
🔆
Copper
Excellent for non-ferrous thick metal profiles.
🟡
Brass
Clean cuts on decorative and functional brass components.
🟤
Foam
High-speed cutting for gaskets and custom foam profiles.
🧴
ABS Plastic
No melting; clean edges on engineering plastics.
🔵
Polycarbonate
Superior to laser cutting for thick polycarbonate sheets.
🪨
Stone & Granite
Intricate inlay and countertop shapes without cracking.
🔳
Glass
Complex shapes without micro-cracking.
And More…
If it's not listed, just ask John — the list really does go on.
